Manufactured by Jrlon for a customer in the nuclear industry, these PTFE plugs feature a threaded metallic insert and was fabricated using a highly automated insert molding process, which is ideal for cost-effectively combining multiple materials into a single finished part. These 1.30” diameter, 0.78” thick plugs were insert molded from virgin PTFE, chosen for its superior chemical resistance and ability to withstand -100°F to + 400°F temperatures. Finish machined to within precise ±.001” tolerances, the parts underwent a quality control process conducted in accordance with ASTM D-3294 standards for PTFE materials, and were then bagged, boxed, and shipped to the customer.
